National Gallery of Victoria

NGV International, Australia · 112 artists in catalogue

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is the oldest and largest art museum in Australia. Its collection is spread across two venues: NGV International, and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. NGV International houses the museum's international art collection, with a strong emphasis on European paintings, Asian art, and decorative arts. The museum has made a point of collecting and exhibiting Australian art, especially the work of emerging local artists with a "rude sense of colour and form".
