Alfred Parsons (1847-1920) was a British artist, best known for his idyllic English garden and rural views. He trained at the Government School of Design, South Kensington, and gained recognition as an illustrator for periodicals such as *The Graphic* and *Harper's Magazine*. Parsons collaborated with Edwin Austin Abbey on illustrations for Shakespeare's works, and his artistic style aligned with the Aesthetic movement, emphasising beauty and harmony in design. He was elected to the Royal Academy in 1911. *All in the Blue Unclouded Weather* presents a sweeping vista of the English countryside. The watercolour technique lends itself to capturing the soft, diffused light of a clear day. Rolling hills stretch into the distance, punctuated by clusters of trees and grazing sheep. The composition is divided into distinct horizontal bands, with the foreground meadow leading the eye towards the distant, hazy horizon. The colour palette is dominated by greens and blues, evoking a sense of peace and tranquility.
