Travellers, rendered with simple forms, traverse the bridge under the shelter of umbrellas, suggesting the atmospheric conditions of the journey.

Hokusai employs a structured approach to space, using the bridge as a diagonal element to create depth. The background features the distant silhouette of Okazaki Castle, nestled among rolling hills.
