Museum of Fine Arts Boston

Boston, United States · 194 artists in catalogue

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) holds one of the most comprehensive art collections in the Americas. Its holdings include more than 450,000 works of art, from ancient Egyptian artefacts to contemporary installations. The MFA is particularly strong in its collection of Asian art, especially Japanese works from the Meiji Era (1868-1912), acquired, in part, at the Centennial Exposition of 1876. The museum also features an array of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, along with significant holdings of early Italian Renaissance paintings and Venetian Renaissance works.
