Description
Wren's Nest / Dudley presents a commanding hilltop castle above rugged rock, with its long defensive wall descending towards a sunlit West Midlands town.
Broad crenellations and tall square towers rise from warm brown masonry at the summit. Below them, a gateway tower and thick wall trace the slope across dark fractured stone, while trees gather in the lower gullies. Beyond the fortifications, close-set roofs, a church spire and low rolling hills fill the distance under a bright patterned sky.
Wren's Nest / Dudley brings a strong sense of elevation to the Black Country landscape, where the hill's exposed geology and the town's streets appear in the same glance.
