Description
The Haslingden Halo appears as a pale circular structure above heather-flecked moorland slopes, looking across patchwork fields and a calm blue reservoir under high clouds.
A circular concrete ring rests on tall square columns above a dark stone base, reached by a short central stair. Heather-coloured patches and exposed rocks mark the slope around it. Beyond the structure, hedged fields descend towards a blue reservoir, with soft hills continuing into the distance.
The Haslingden Halo is a place to pause above the town and look outward, and the artwork preserves that open prospect. For visitors and local people, its precise geometry against irregular moorland and farmland makes a memorable hilltop marker above the Rossendale hills.
