Description
The Haslingden Halo 1 frames the distant Lancashire plain with its immense circular steel form, set above a rocky ridge under long white cloud bands.
The sculpture stands on a bare upland outcrop, its pale circular rim cut cleanly against a deep blue sky. A narrow red finial rises from the top of the ring. Grey rock shelves and dark grass occupy the foreground, then the view opens across layered fields and a hazy far horizon.
The Haslingden Halo 1 gives a familiar Lancashire viewpoint a bold marker that can be seen from far beyond the ridge. Visitors can read the scale of the plain through its opening, while local walkers may recognise the exposed ground and changing weather around the summit.
