Description
The Harroway Five Lanes End is anchored by a tall stone obelisk beside a meeting of country roads, with clipped hedges and warm fields reaching beyond.
A square plinth and a ring of short bollards set the monument apart from the junction. White painted arrows mark the pale tarmac as lanes sweep in several directions around dense roadside growth. A broad oak fills the middle distance, with bands of yellow-green farmland and low blue hills beyond it beneath long cream clouds.
