Description
The Eildons rise in soft green folds beneath a pale, cloud-filled sky, with a winding stone path drawing the eye towards the three distinctive peaks above the Borders.
A rough stone boundary runs beside a pale track through patchwork fields. Rounded hills step back in olive and yellow, and the triple summit cuts a dark silhouette beneath broad cream clouds. A lone tree and scattered ridge-side rocks give the lower ground a settled, rural scale.
For walkers and neighbours around The Eildons, these changing slopes recall the approach from Melrose and the long views that open as the ground rises. The familiar cluster of summits keeps the border country close, from the first field gate to the high ridge.
