Description
Thames Path looks across bright water to the Palace of Westminster and Elizabeth Tower, with a shaded promenade and Westminster Bridge holding the riverside in view.
Along the near edge, pale tree trunks cast patterned shadows across the paving beside a low stone parapet. A black decorative lamp rises above the walkway, and dark timber mooring posts stand in the turquoise current. Beyond them, the bridge's repeated spans form a horizontal line beneath the clock face and Gothic towers.
Thames Path offers a familiar London passage where a walk beside the river keeps the city's civic architecture in sight. For visitors and residents, this angle recalls the changing light on the water and the steady movement along the embankment, ending at the tower above the bridge.
