Description
Sma’ Glen in Perthshire opens between snow patched hills above green farmland, with dark conifer belts and pale houses beyond russet foreground heather under bright clouds on an early spring afternoon.
Sma’ Glen forms a narrow middle section of Glen Almond near the Highland Boundary. The River Almond passes through this transition between upland country and the lower fields towards Strathearn. At the glen entrance, Dallick House stands among the valley’s farmland and woodland below the enclosing hills.
Green fields spread below steep blue and brown slopes streaked with upper snow. Pale houses stand among dark conifer belts, with a winding blue channel through the lower grass. Rust coloured heather and grey rocks cross the near bank. Bright clouds over the snowy crowns suggest early spring sunshine reaching the agricultural ground at the mouth of the glen.
