Shropshire Hills unfolds from a rocky ridge into patchwork fields, where heather, sunlit grass and a narrow path lead across the escarpment beneath clear blue cloud.
The composition follows a narrow path along the rocky spine of Shropshire Hills, where pale slabs and heather sit close to the viewer. A steep escarpment catches the sun at right, dropping towards a mosaic of hedged fields and darker wooded folds.
