The composition is structured around a series of wooden bridges that connect the foreground to the water, guiding the viewer's eye across the scene. Figures carrying goods traverse these bridges, providing a sense of daily life and movement within the quiet environment. The water occupies the central portion of the print, rendered in varying shades of blue that suggest depth and calm.
In the background, the distant hills and the rising sun, depicted as a red circle, establish the time of day.
