Description
Sgurr Alasdair rises as a sharp dark peak above a shadowed lochan, giving the high corrie a dramatic meeting of warm rock and deep water.
The central summit at Sgurr Alasdair narrows to a pointed crest, with copper light catching its fractured face. Grey scree and folded rock shelves descend into a dark basin, where a small lochan lies enclosed by steep slopes. A black foreground crag frames the lower right, while peach cloud breaks across the upper sky.
Walkers who have approached the Cuillin may recognise how the ground closes in around the water before the ridge climbs away. Sgurr Alasdair holds that steep scale in view, moving from the still lochan to the sunlit summit and its serrated skyline.
