Sands of Forvie brings a winding dune path down to a broad beach, where pale surf and a distant headland ruin lend the Aberdeenshire coast a quiet sense of reach.

Foreground marram grass rises in loose, wind-shaped clumps around a sandy track, leading the eye towards layered olive mounds and a long crescent of wet shore.
