Description
Round the Forth frames the red cantilevers of the Forth Bridge above calm estuary water, with rocky foreshore and heather lending the crossing a richly textured foreground.
Three great steel towers step across the water, their latticework picked out against soft bands of cream cloud. Stone piers rise from quiet reflections, while the far bank remains a low blue-green strip beyond the spans. In front, dark seaweed lies among angular rocks and small patches of mauve heather climb the shore.
Round the Forth brings a route's changing viewpoints to one of Scotland's most recognisable crossings.
