Description
Rise’s stone church sits among autumn-coloured trees, its tall spire giving the East Sussex village a calm, unmistakable outline, beneath the autumn leaves overhead.
The church stands beyond a broad green lawn, with a steep roof and pointed windows in its long stone walls. A narrow spire rises above the trees, framed by branches in orange and gold. Darker foliage borders the right edge, while the open grass leads towards the building. Thin clouds cross a warm sky above the village churchyard.
For someone familiar with Rise, the church and its surrounding trees make a recognisable centre within the small village. The open lawn allows the stonework to be seen from end to end, while the autumn canopy marks the changing season around the church.
