Description
A broad Cardiff reach gives the River Taff a welcoming urban character, an appealing Welsh connection for anyone whose enjoyment of the city includes its stadium and the quieter walks beside it.
Tall white masts and diagonal braces rise above a rounded roof near the centre. Four low stone arches cross the channel beneath them. On the left, pale terraces face clipped grass and a narrow path, while a rectangular tower with a circular roof feature stands opposite.
From Penarth Road bridge, the River Taff gives Cardiff's different frontages a generous shared space. Their reflections stretch towards the viewpoint, turning the substantial stadium structure into fine pale lines across the surface. For a connection formed through match days or ordinary riverside journeys, the outlook brings both experiences together, keeping the city's larger landmarks close to an approachable route along the bank.
