The work features Elias van Nymegen, the artist Gerard Sanders himself, and Dionys van Nymegen. The composition is typical of eighteenth-century Dutch printmaking, where subjects were often grouped to document the likenesses of contemporary artists or notable figures within a specific circle. The print was executed by Pieter Tanjé after a drawing by Gerard Sanders, as indicated by the inscriptions at the base of the sheet.
