Description
Peggys Cove is anchored by its red-roofed lighthouse, set above weathered granite that gives the Atlantic shore a rugged calm, while the open sky keeps the view light and spacious.
The lighthouse rises from a low shelf of rock, with the sea surrounding the point on three sides. Large slabs in the foreground vary from pale grey to warm beige. Beyond the surf, the horizon lies level under a clear blue sky crossed by thin clouds.
The rocky approach and beacon are familiar to visitors who have explored this Nova Scotia cove. Here the lighthouse sits in open view above the water, with the granite shore leading towards Peggys Cove. The lighthouse stands apart from the foreground rocks, while white surf traces the edge of the point.
