Description
Oldbury Hill draws attention to its circular grassy ramparts, where a pale track curls around the summit above a wide patchwork of Warwickshire fields.
The elevated enclosure is ringed by darker banks that catch the low sun, with a second path dropping diagonally down the slope. Mature woodland gathers at the hill's edge, while hedged fields and distant blue ridges extend beneath long, thin clouds.
People who have climbed Oldbury Hill may recognise the change from enclosed trees to open ground at the top. The looping earthworks keep the viewpoint close to the hill, yet the view beyond carries the quiet spread of Warwickshire farmland into the distance on a clear afternoon beyond the trees.
