Description
Meikle Says rises beyond a stony upland trail in the Borders, its rounded summit, heather slopes and weathered boulders holding the still drama of high ground.
Dark cloud bands gather over the horizon as a pale track threads among granite outcrops and low purple heather. The route climbs towards a wide green crown, where exposed rock breaks the smooth curve of the hill. Muted olive, charcoal and russet patches describe the open ground without crowding it, giving Meikle Says a spare, elemental character.
For anyone who has climbed in the Borders or hopes to do so, the view captures the slow progress of an upland day: uneven stone underfoot, wind across the heath and a summit that remains in sight. Meikle Says makes that sense of approach tangible, with the trail drawing steadily towards the rounded height.
