Description
Longa Island appears beyond the pale beach as low green ground over turquoise water, giving this open Highland shore a calm, far-reaching focus in the distance.
Bright clouds break into long, pale bands across a clear blue sky. Across the water, Longa Island’s rounded ridge sits on a narrow dark rocky edge, while fine white surf lines mark the shallows. In the foreground, a sandy path threads through high dune grass towards the shore; a small red cabinet is partly screened by the plants.
For someone who has walked this shore, the scene recalls the pause before a view opens across the water. The path leads the eye outward without crowding the island’s low profile, and the grass keeps the foreground close. Longa Island stays distinct on the horizon, with surf separating beach and ridge.
