Description
Le Morne Brabant rises sharply above a turquoise lagoon, its steep green summit framed by a low island shoreline beneath the clear summer sky.
The mountain occupies the centre of the view, climbing from a narrow strip of vegetation into a steep rocky peak. Blue shallows circle the island, fading into deeper water towards the lower edge. A bright sky hangs above the summit, while a pale beach curves along the shore.
The scene reflects the striking meeting of mountain and lagoon at Le Morne Brabant. Visitors who have seen the peninsula from the water will recognise the isolated peak above the coastal belt and the clear bands of colour around it. The open sky sits above the visible land and water.
