Description
Kingsbridge Estuary in Devon looks across winding water and sandbanks towards wooded slopes and quilted fields, capturing the tide’s changing lines beneath a high summer sky.
From a rocky foreground, dark weed-covered ledges give way to a glassy inlet streaked with pale reflections. The left bank rises abruptly in a dense mass of trees, while exposed mudflats and narrow channels shape the opposite shore. Above them, long bands of cloud draw the eye along the water towards softly coloured patchwork farmland.
