Description
Kilninver offers a leafy encounter with an old river crossing, a fresh Argyll village view for those who enjoy stonework, clear water and a church glimpsed through trees.
A broad shallow arch springs from irregular grey blocks above blue green reflections. Small stones line the shaded left bank below spreading branches. Beyond the parapet, a white tower carries a fine slate spire, while pale umbels brighten the close grass at the lower right.
The crossing gives Kilninver a welcoming sense of passage, with the river visible beneath and the village appearing just beyond. Its enclosing foliage makes the masonry feel part of a living green setting. This scene suits an attachment to country routes where a short stop beside a bridge reveals several different scales of local detail.
