Hurricane belongs to his series of fire paintings, where the artist manipulated controlled flames to scorch the surface of the canvas. This process creates a physical record of combustion, moving away from traditional brushwork to embrace the elemental forces of heat and oxidation. The composition of Hurricane suggests a violent, atmospheric event.
