Description
Humberside Clay Pits frames a turquoise pool beneath terraced pale rock, with a winding white track leading past scattered bushes towards cultivated fields and distant cloud banks.
Cream and white quarry faces form broad terraces above blue-green water, while a pale track bends around the near edge. Low shrubs cling to the ledges and a line of mature trees rises at the right, with hedged fields visible beyond the excavation from the higher ground.
Humberside Clay Pits gives visitors and residents a close view of worked ground beside still water. The scene recalls a slow walk along the quarry rim, where each bend opens a fresh view across the water towards the surrounding fields on clear days.
