Description
Heathfield’s quiet high street draws towards the hills, with warm shopfronts and a single street lamp shaping the view, under the evening sky above town.
The road runs between close-set buildings, their red and cream façades catching the late light. A black street lamp stands near the centre, while a church spire rises above rooftops further back. The street narrows towards a green ridge beneath layered clouds. Shadows cross the road and pavement, giving the town scene a settled, late-day feel.
Anyone who has walked through Heathfield may recognise the way the high street opens towards the surrounding countryside. The mix of shopfronts, lamp and distant spire places the view within the town, while the hills beyond keep the East Sussex setting in sight.
