Greenwich, London brings the pleasure of a capital city outing into a spacious park setting, an inviting choice for those who love seeing familiar architecture from above.
Broad green lawns descend between thick stands of trees towards a pale central house. Long colonnades spread to either side, with two domed blocks rising behind them. Beyond a band of blue river, closely packed modern towers lift above lower roofs; one has a clear pyramidal crown against the light sky.
The view links the Queen's House and Old Royal Naval College with the much newer skyline of Canary Wharf. Greenwich, London feels both local and metropolitan from this height.
