Description
Glenuig Inn sits beside a broad Highland inlet, with small shore buildings beneath muted hills and a calm, reflective mood The shore remains close to the hills.
The water occupies the centre of the view, its shallow bands reflecting the grey-blue sky. A rocky point enters from the lower left, while low stones and grass line the opposite edge. Across the inlet, pale buildings and the dark roof of the inn sit close to the shore. Rounded hills rise behind them in green, ochre and violet layers.
At Glenuig Inn, the settlement is held between water and the rising ground behind it. The distant buildings remain small against the hills, while the inlet carries the view across the frame. Anyone who has stopped along this Highland shore will recognise the combination of a simple waterfront and open slopes beyond.
