Description
Glenbatrick opens towards pale sandy coves on Jura's western coast, where soft green slopes, scattered shoreline rocks and clear turquoise water lead towards distant island hills beneath a cloud filled sky.
A small beach just north of Glenbatrick gives this view its sheltered shape. The western coast of Jura has open slopes meeting the water, with low rocky edges interrupting the sand. Here, the shore curves beneath the hillside before narrowing towards a more distant headland.
Bright water changes from pale turquoise near the beach to deeper blue farther out. Bands of grass and darker shrubs follow the folds of the foreground, with a few angular grey rocks close to the lower edge. The mountain slopes rise gently on the left, while scattered white clouds leave a broad opening of blue above the coast.
