Description
Fuller’s Follies stand above a winding hill path as a pale Gothic stone structure on a high green ridge, surrounded by sunlit grass, shrubs and far-reaching countryside.
The central building is all pointed arches, open windows and slender pinnacles, its warm stone standing sharply against a clear blue sky. A pale track rises past exposed rock and low bushes to the base, while woodland and cultivated fields extend over the hills below. A russet tree adds a small note of autumn colour.
Fuller’s Follies offers architectural drama without losing the ease of an open country scene. For anyone drawn to this ridge, the upward pull of the pinnacles is balanced by the path below and the long fall of fields behind it.
