Description
Formby Red Squirrel Reserve follows a sandy path through tall pine trees and dune grass, opening towards a pale beach and the calm blue water beyond.
A pale sandy track curves through tall pines, their warm trunks rising from thick green woodland at the edge of the dunes. Grasses spill across the soft banks and lead down towards a wide beach, where a narrow band of turquoise water meets the horizon. Broad white clouds and the long coastal path give the scene an easy sense of movement.
For visitors, Formby Red Squirrel Reserve recalls the pleasure of walking between shade and open sand, with the sea gradually coming into view. The print speaks to regulars who know the dunes and pinewoods, as well as anyone drawn to a quieter stretch of the Lancashire coast.
