Description
Foel Grach opens onto the north Wales coast from a rocky upland in Conwy, with long brown ridges descending towards green lowlands and a distant blue sea.
The high ground at Foel Grach belongs to the mountains of north Wales. Here, stony slopes look out across lower country towards the coast, linking an exposed summit setting with a much wider stretch of sea. The surrounding terrain is open, with broad ridgelines and little tree cover.
Angular grey boulders cover the foreground, their shaded faces set against patches of muted grass. A rounded ridge crosses the middle distance in ochre and olive. Beyond it, tiny pale buildings punctuate green fields beside the water, while soft cloud banks leave plenty of clear blue sky.
