Description
Dyer's Hill looks across blue lochs from a rocky summit, where a weathered triangulation pillar gives the surrounding mountains a firm point of focus.
Lichen-specked slabs lead towards the square marker, whose dark opening and small round plaque break the rough grey surface. Far below, wooded islands divide the water into narrow reaches, and blue ridges overlap in the distance. Broad white cloud forms stretch across the upper sky, leaving cool shadow on the slopes.
For anyone who has climbed Dyer's Hill, the picture keeps the reward of reaching exposed ground above the water. The marker makes the high point easy to recognise, while the linked lochs and receding hills suggest how far the view extends beyond the summit rocks.
