Description
Dundonnell Forest opens onto a distant mountain view, where a winding road slips between dark trees towards a pale loch beneath a clouded sky.
Conifers crowd both sides of the road, their dark branches framing the lighter valley beyond. The tarmac bends gently away from the viewer and leads towards a narrow stretch of water. Layered slopes rise behind it, ending in two broad, bare peaks under scattered cream clouds.
A pale-trunked tree stands out among the darker foliage at right. For anyone who has travelled through Dundonnell Forest, the view joins the enclosed forest road to the open prospect ahead, where the loch rests beneath the mountains. The gentle turn in the tarmac suggests the road continuing beyond sight, while the distant peaks give the valley a clear outline beneath the clouded sky.
