Description
Drynoch looks towards a snow-dusted Highland peak, with autumn-coloured slopes and a ribbon of water setting a quiet, remote tone, creating a calm sense of place.
The mountain rises beyond a patchwork of brown and green ground, its upper ridge traced with snow. A narrow strip of loch catches light in the middle distance, and dark trees edge the foreground. Thin cloud stretches across the pale sky.
The contrast between the high summit and the low water gives Drynoch a strong sense of distance. Visitors exploring this part of Highland Scotland may recognise the seasonal colours and the way the peak stands beyond the settled ground. The narrow waterway gives the foreground a clear direction, leading from the trees towards the snow-marked summit.
