Description
Drigg is caught at low tide beneath a square stone tower, its reflection stretched across blue pools and bands of wet sand near shore.
At Drigg, a grassy rise holds a tall crenellated structure above the shore, with short adjoining masonry stepping down to the rocks. The bay curves away past scattered dark stones and smooth strips of pale beach. Distant blue hills overlap beyond the water, while long grasses lean into the foreground.
Drigg sits close to a coast where the tide constantly redraws the ground underfoot. The scene offers the pause between sea and land that comes with an exposed shore, carrying the eye from the old masonry towards the far fells.
