Description
Dingle Marshes spreads into shallow pools and reed beds, with broad sky above the flat Suffolk marshes creating a still, open mood in soft evening light.
Water gathers in winding channels between rust, gold and green grasses. A dark tree line crosses the far distance, while the marsh surface remains low and level beneath it. Clouds brighten the blue sky, reflected in the pools near the centre. The foreground plants are taller and denser, framing the shallow water beyond.
The marsh is shown through its pattern of water, grasses and distant trees, with no single building interrupting the open ground. People who know Dingle Marshes may recognise the changing channels and reed beds of the coast. Light clouds are mirrored in the pools, while the flat line of the far tree belt marks the edge of the view.
