Description
Craig y Llyn centres on a stone rotunda above clear blue water, framed by steep Welsh slopes and bright cloud breaks that give the lake a ceremonial calm.
A domed circular pavilion stands on a rocky promontory beside a turquoise lake, its pale columns catching the light. Dark ridges rise on either side, while small flowers and grasses soften the nearer bank. Behind the structure, layered mountains meet a high blue sky, making Craig y Llyn feel sheltered yet open to the distance.
For someone familiar with Welsh mountain roads and reservoirs, Craig y Llyn can recall the sudden appearance of water between steep slopes. The pavilion and reflective lake keep that arrival in view, with the ridgeline continuing beyond the shore.
