Description
Corran Sands opens onto a sweeping bright sweeping turquoise coastal bay, where pale sand curves beneath a mountain horizon and a rocky flowering headland.
Dark angular rocks occupy the near slope, flecked with orange lichen, grasses and small pink flowers. Below, shallow water divides into bands of blue and green before meeting a wide arc of clean sand. A low wooded point reaches into the bay, and a broad mountain mass rises across the water beneath high cream clouds.
For visitors to Corran Sands, the view carries the easy change between the close shore and the wider water beyond. It recalls a slow walk above the beach, when the curve of the bay and distant hills come into sight together.
