Description
A sweeping view of Chesil Beach and Portland pairs a pale shingle bank with turquoise water, tidal pools, white cliff faces and a broad, cloud-filled sky.
The image is built around a long ribbed strand curving towards a green headland. Sea on one side is deep blue-green, while sheltered water on the other breaks into narrow channels beside low white buildings. Chunky limestone in the foreground and large cream clouds lend the composition depth.
