Description
Cape Agulhas Lighthouse is anchored by a striped lighthouse above breaking surf, giving the view a bold coastal mood, with open space around the scene.
The lighthouse sits on a low green point that reaches into the sea. Bands of white water break across the foreground, while smaller waves run towards the distant shore. A line of cloud hangs above the horizon, and darker coastal vegetation frames the lower edge around the rocks.
Cape Agulhas Lighthouse marks a notable point on South Africa’s southern coast. Here the tower remains closely tied to the sea around it, with surf and rocky ground showing the conditions visitors meet at the cape. The low headland makes the lighthouse visible against both water and sky.
