Description
Ben Arthur (The Cobbler) brings a rugged Highland mood into the home, with snow-bright summits and warm moorland giving mountain lovers a powerful local subject and an inviting earthy palette.
White snow picks out the folds below a jagged rocky skyline. Rust-brown slopes spread towards the foreground, crossed by darker gullies and narrow pale tracks. A large grey rock occupies the near right edge, while broken cream clouds hang above the mountain against a muted blue-green sky.
The distinctive summit area makes Ben Arthur (The Cobbler) a mountain with character beyond its height. Warm ground below the snow gives the scene a strong seasonal contrast, holding ruggedness and brightness together.
