Description
Bedlam's Bottom draws attention to a wooden crossing over a blue tide channel, with sea lavender and marsh grass setting a gentle pace across the Swale's low ground.
Tall reeds frame mauve flower heads at the near bank, while pale sand margins curl around the water and a line of rails spans the channel on dark posts. Flat fields recede behind scattered scrub, leaving broad cream clouds to occupy much of the upper view.
For anyone familiar with Bedlam's Bottom, the scene brings together the small details of a waterside walk: shifting reflections, planted banks and the distant line of the estuary. It keeps the public path close to the channels that shape this part of north Kent.
