Description
Achnashellach Forest catches late gold across tall pines and a stony burn, with a broad Highland ridge rising beyond the trees in warm evening light.
Dark conifer trunks stand in a close row at the right, their crowns cutting into an amber sky. A narrow stream threads between smooth boulders in the foreground, and lower woodland fades into blue-grey haze. Light marks the water on the stones. The distant summit is divided by long shadowed gullies.
Achnashellach Forest lies on a route through the west Highlands where woodland, burn and high ground meet within a short walk. It will speak to people who have stopped here on the way through, when sunlight catches the trees before the glens cool.
