Description
Aboyne follows the river beneath a broad single arch, a gentle Deeside view for those who enjoy waterside paths and the wooded hills surrounding an Aberdeenshire village.
Pink flower spikes and white umbels grow beside a narrow sandy track on the right bank. The low crossing has a smooth parapet and substantial square ends. Beyond it, pale roofs appear through mixed foliage beneath a rounded hill, with lavender shadows gathering under the clouds.
This Aboyne scene feels close to the water, letting the riverside verge set the pace of the view. The arch holds the banks together without closing the prospect beyond. It is a warm reminder of village walks that follow the river outwards, where garden scale planting gradually gives way to a broader sweep of wooded country.
