Description
Rugged ridges and a dark mountain lake give Y Llethr a strong sense of height, with pale foreground rocks opening onto a broad sweep of green slopes and distant water.
Upright slabs form a broken cluster close to the viewer. Rust coloured shrubs spread between the stones, while exposed crags stripe the steep face across the hollow. A fine pale track follows the ridge on the right, beneath large white clouds with soft grey undersides.
Y Llethr brings the scale of the Welsh mountains into clear focus. The view towards Llyn Dulyn rewards anyone who loves high ground and the changing textures of a long hill walk, combining the intimacy of rocky footing with the reach of a much wider landscape.
