Description
Bruray's sheltered water holds small boats below low island houses, with dark seaweed-covered rocks, green banks and pale reflections bringing the Out Skerries harbour into a quiet view.
Short grass meets a broken belt of shoreline stones along the bottom. Across the channel, red-roofed buildings stand on smooth low slopes. A cluster of moorings and slender masts gathers near a small quay, while darker weed patches show through the shallow water.
The retained outlook faces North Mouth between Housay and Bruray in the Out Skerries. Water links the scattered buildings on the islands, with the harbour's working details kept small against the open ground. The low shore, clear reflections and modest boats give this Shetland setting a close and recognisable scale.
